midnight club 3: dub edition

midnight club 3, is basically my favourite racing game i have ever played, thats why it gets to be first on this page.
the driving feels fast, controllable, and extremely satifying
it has some great mechanics that i havent seen in many other racing games since, for example, having a rearview mirror that shows you extremely minimally how close behind you the next racer is (im sure other games have a rearview mirror, but this one shows you only the brightness of the headlights. which is useful because it lets you read the information out of the corner of your eye)
the street racing feel is unmatched and feels very fun and intuitive

the getaway

the getaway, first of all, i have not finished this game, but i have some positives and some negatives, so this game has a weird obsession with no hud, like no hud at all, no minimap, no health, no weapon selector, part of this works for me, and some of this doesn't, for example, instead of a minimap, the game tells you where to go, by using your car indicator as instructions on when to turn, or how the damage works by having your character limp when hurt, this serves two purposes

HOWEVER, for some reason theres no crosshair when aiming manually, maybe this is an age thing, but by god this sucks, maybe its a skill issue but why would there not be a crosshair. there is one more issue i have, theres literally no options to change sensitivity, which normally i have no issue with this, but the manual aiming is so slow that it really needs an adjustment, this combined with the previosu thing i mentioned means that i basically never use the manual aiming
the game does a great job of emulating the vibe of 90s british gangster flicks like snatch, even if the story is a tad corny.

tony hawks underground

tony hawks underground! the first game i beat on ps2, it took me a while to get the controls down, especially coming from skate 3, but it ended up as my favourite game on this console.
the vibes: immaculate
the tricks: satisfying
the soundtrack: banging
but seriously, play this game if you own a ps2, this game rocks, i need to get my hands on the pro skater series and thug 2, theres not much to say about this game other than i really like it and its really fun!
