this is an album i really like, its another broadcast piece, it kinda sits just above the noise made by people in some respects and below it in others, for example it has my favourite broadcast song 'michael a grammar' whereas 'echos answer' and 'come on lets go' from nmbp are also personal favs, however it gets the spot over nmbp only because its generally more refined attempt at what i think broadcast is all about
every song on this album makes me feel like trish keenan telling me something about myself that i didnt even know yet, what a genius, sometimes itll make me cry, for no reason at all.

joint mostly with twin fantasy, although this is absolutely more polished, sharper and more clever, it feels more like a view on Wills non sober past, from the view of retrospect, as someone who is now sober. almost as if hes saying 'this is how i feel now about how i felt then'
its a very feel-y album, theres lots of feelings and lines that cut deep, despite that fact that Will says that alot of the narrators are not intended to be him, his intensely confessional songwriting still cuts throught that, i do not for a second believe that he is not writing from experience in 'destroyed by hippie powers' or 'fill in the blank'

i mean its almost a copout to put this here, theres nothing for me to say about this album that hasnt already been said a billion times, other than, its amazing, listen to it if you haven't, the only new thing i can say is my own personal experience, so. my favourite memory of this album is being at my friends house at 3 in the morning, having the titular song come on, and us all deciding to sit down, hold hands, close our eyes and belt the fucking shit out of that song. so yeah, awesome.
